Jennifer Lawrence is all set to collaborate with Italian director Luca Guadagnino for her upcoming movie ‘Burial Rites’ that she will produce as well as star in.
‘Burial Rites’ is a film based on the Hannah Kent novel of the same name. The film follows Agnes Magnusdottir (Lawrence), the last woman to be publicly executed in Iceland in 1830. Magnusdottir was sentenced to death for killing two men and setting fire to their home, with the story taking place as she awaits confirmation of her death sentence by the high court.
Meanwhile, Luca Guadagnino’s Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet starrer ‘Call Me by Your Name’ has received unanimous acclaim, with particular praise given to its direction, screenplay, musical score, and performances, and was chosen by both the National Board of Review and American Film Institute as one of the top 10 films of the year. The film has been nominated for three Golden Globes.
